| Help Eonstaryx with a dragon memory problem while you face an old foe. | ||||||

Havilar: |
How much further to Glorium?
Zaythir: |
We're still quite a ways out. What's wrong? I thought your new form would love this desert air.
Havilar: |
The air is fine. It's the nothing-happening-at-all-ever that's killing me.
Zaythir: |
Oh, then I have good news! Something is going wrong with the castle's connection to the Outlands, and living spells are trying to destroy everything.
Havilar: |
...You are REALLY calm about this.
| 1 | Defeat 25 Enemies | Is there ever a time we AREN'T fighting? I'm not complaining; just trying to schedule my time. | ||||
| 2 | Defeat 25 Enemies | Those living spells are messing up the place! Dispel them! HA! I'm so funny! | ||||
Eonstaryx: |
OH! It's today! Oh... It's today...
Freely: |
That seemed exciting and also ominous.
Eonstaryx: |
Well, yes. I'm not really sure why - but I remember the feelings. But oh! Look out the window! We've finally reached the Mausoleum of Chronepsis!
Zaythir: |
I didn't tell it to walk here...
Eonstaryx: |
Oh, I remembered we would walk by it on the way - didn't feel like I needed to mention it. But anyway - can we go?
Nayeli: |
What is it? | |||||
Eonstaryx: |
It's a place for us time dragons, as well as Chronepsis - the dragon god of time!
| 3 | Collect 25 Spell Components | Those living spells are turning into spell components! Could be useful later! Pick 'em up! | ||||
Eonstaryx: |
So, can we go? | |||||
Nayeli: |
I don't know if- | |||||
Wren: |
You already know we're going to go, don't you?
Eonstaryx: |
Yep! | |||||
Nayeli: |
[Shrugs] Well, who can argue with that? All right, everyone. Let's get going!
| 4 | Defeat 25 Enemies | Ugh, I hate the desert! Get rid of these enemies so we can get out of here fast! | ||||
| 5 | Defeat the Fire Snake Leader | That's one BIG fire snake! Make 'em a deader before it makes you lunch! | ||||
Eonstaryx: |
It's just over this dune! At least that's where I remember us finding it!
Freely: |
I'm never going to get used to how this little guy talks...
Morte: |
Uh, little time dragon, are there supposed to be this many undead here? I know it's a mausoleum, but this seems off.
Eonstaryx: |
I think this is what I was sounding ominous about... Something's wrong with Chronepsis!
Havilar: |
Then let's not waste any time - carve a path, Champions!
| 6 | Defeat 25 Enemies | Has Havilar done this before? She's callin' out things better than I can! Get fightin'! | ||||
| 7 | Defeat 25 Enemies | Skeletons are crawling out of the sand! Break some bones! | ||||
Nayeli: |
Do you remember anything about what's happening to Chronepsis?
Eonstaryx: |
No, just that something REALLY evil is in there. I'm getting scared just trying to remember it...
Calliope: |
That's encouraging. | |||||
Nayeli: |
Whatever it is, we'll stop it. You have my word, Eonstaryx.
Eonstaryx: |
Nayeli, your word could sway dragons.
| 8 | Collect 25 Bones | Pick up their bones so these skeletons can't reform! | ||||
| 9 | Defeat 25 Enemies | Zombies are joining the fighting! Make 'em deaders! ...Well, deaders again! | ||||
Wren: |
Uh, is the sand supposed to move like that?
Freely: |
Something's under that dune, and it's BIG!
![]() Orkira: |
I've got a bad feeling about this...
| 10 | Defeat the Ancient Red Dracolich | Those dragon bones are moving! IT'S A DRACOLICH! You all fight - I'm gonna hide! | ||||
Eonstaryx: |
[Gasps] I remember something!
Freely: |
Do you know who is summoning all these undead?
Eonstaryx: |
No - but I did remember how we can help Chronepsis! We need to collect some dragon memory scales.
![]() Orkira: |
That doesn't sound easy...
Eonstaryx: |
It's not, but we can use one of my memories first! My hourglass should be nearby.
Havilar: |
Does any of this make sense to anyone else?
Eonstaryx: |
Ugh, just come on! | |||||
| 11 | Defeat 25 Enemies | Uh, are those undead flying monkeys? WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE?! Clip some wings! | ||||
Eonstaryx: |
Dang, I can't get the hourglass to respond correctly. There must be some powerful monster nearby that's blocking its power.
Havilar: |
Sounds like we need to keep cutting down undead then - you're going back into the grave, zombies!
| 12 | Defeat 25 Enemies | Should I even bother? Should Havilar take over on this? No, no, I got this. VANQUISH THESE UNDEAD TERRORS! | ||||
Eonstaryx: |
Those goblin zombies have draconic hourglasses on them! They stole them! We have to get them back at any cost!
| 13 | Collect 25 Draconic Hourglasses | Oh, now he's doing it too?? What am I here for?! Get the hourglasses back - or whatever. | ||||
| 14 | Defeat 25 Enemies | ...Oh, I can do this one? Fine. Put these zombies back in the grave! ...Dang it, Havilar already used that one! | ||||
Eonstaryx: |
There! That minotaur skeleton is blocking the hourglass's magic!
Havilar: |
Then we better - You know what, Morte, you got this.
| 15 | Defeat the Minotaur Skeleton | Really? Aw, thanks, Havilar. TURN THAT MINOTAUR SKELETON INTO BONE DUST! Ah, that felt good. | ||||
Eonstaryx: |
All right, now I can take us into the memory.
Freely: |
INTO the memory? | |||||
Eonstaryx: |
Yep! Everyone, hold on!
Wren: |
Whoa, where are we? | |||||
Eonstaryx: |
You're in one of my memories! Well, a memory that hasn't happened yet.
Wren: |
And where are you? | |||||
Eonstaryx: |
Well, it's my memory, so technically everywhere? You all are playing the role of me, so you gotta do what I did! Head into that temple and collect my first hoard!
| 16 | Defeat 25 Enemies | These kobolds do NOT want you getting into that temple! Make some deaders! | ||||
![]() Kobold: |
You not big dragon leader! Get out of here!
Eonstaryx: |
Remember, they don't see all of you. They see me.
Nayeli: |
Uh, well, we are the big dragon leader now.
![]() Kobold: |
You not big! You tiny-dragon-not-leader!
Freely: |
How old were you when this happened, Eonstaryx?
Eonstaryx: |
Huh, I guess I was still a wyrmling. This should be fun when it happens in the present!
| 17 | Defeat 25 Enemies | Eonstaryx has a strange definition of fun. Get rid of these kobolds so we can get that memory scale! | ||||
| 18 | Collect 25 Kobold Scales | Do kobold scales count? They're scales IN a memory, after all. Pick 'em up, just in case! | ||||
Nayeli: |
Strange, there aren't any kobolds in here. Just... fire snakes?
Eonstaryx: |
I think you need to clear everything out of here so the hoard is truly claimed. Then you can get my memory scale!
| 19 | Defeat 25 Enemies | You know, besides the fire snakes, it's awfully quiet in here... Oh well, clear 'em out! | ||||
Havilar: |
Uh, does treasure usually move like that?
Wren: |
Something is underneath it!
Freely: |
I don't think it's underneath it - I think it IS it!
| 20 | Defeat the Hoard Mimic | Hoard Mimic! I love treasure, but that doesn't mean I want to get eaten by it! Make it a deader! | ||||
Eonstaryx: |
Well done! One memory scale down - two to go!
Calliope: |
So, how do we get out of here?
Eonstaryx: |
Oh! Right! Hold on, Champions!
Eonstaryx: |
All right, this is the next hourglass. This one is going to be... difficult. But I believe in you! You can do this!
Wren: |
Difficult, how? | |||||
Eonstaryx: |
The dragon whose memory this is... well, they aren't what you'd consider a nice dragon.
Havilar: |
I know that's supposed to be a warning, but that just sounds like fun to me.
| 21 | Defeat 25 Enemies | You know what to do, Champions - find that big undead that's magically suppressing the hourglass! | ||||
| 22 | Defeat 25 Enemies | Skeletons are coming from everywhere! Don't just break some bones - BREAK ALL THE BONES! | ||||
| 23 | Collect 25 Draconic Hourglasses | Those frost giant skeletons are stealing more draconic hourglasses! Take them back! | ||||
| 24 | Defeat 25 Enemies | More zombies! Undead that don't even have the decency to be skeletons! Deal with 'em! | ||||
| 25 | Defeat the Skeleton Champion | There! That skeleton champion is suppressing the hourglass! Get 'em! | ||||
Eonstaryx: |
All right, is everyone ready?
Calliope: |
Does this dragon have a name? Should we know who it is?
Eonstaryx: |
Oh, right, his name is Klauth!
![]() Klauth: |
What's this? Intruders in my own memories. Who dares disturb me?
Freely: |
Still weird just hearing a voice come from everywhere - uh, we're just trying to get a memory scale to help the dragon god of time!
![]() Klauth: |
Help? Help isn't really something I do. And what do I get out of this?
Freely: |
Uh, well, this is just a memory, so I don't think there's anything -
Havilar: |
We could fight? | |||||
Nayeli: |
Havilar! | |||||
![]() Klauth: |
Intriguing. Yes, let us change this memory and create a new one. A memory where I feast on your burnt flesh. Fight your way to the shrine! I will be there, waiting.
| 26 | Defeat 25 Enemies | Well, this doesn't seem to be going to plan, but might work? Clear out these red wizards! | ||||
Eonstaryx: |
I don't think this is how it's supposed to work...
Havilar: |
Hey, we still get the scale and I get to fight an ancient red dragon - sounds like a win-win to me!
| 27 | Defeat 25 Enemies | Why are there so many red wizards here? Are we in Chult? Ugh, no time - get fightin'! | ||||
| 28 | Collect 25 Red Wizard Cloth | Hey, do you think if we grabbed enough cloth, we could make a red wizard cape for me? Let's find out! | ||||
| 29 | Defeat 25 Enemies | That is A LOT of red wizards! Make 'em deaders before they make you part of their undead legions! | ||||
![]() Klauth: |
Finally. You have proven yourselves worthy to attempt combat with me. IF you are successful, I will give you the memory scale you require.
Freely: |
And if we're not, you're going to eat us?
![]() Klauth: |
I don't know what devouring your material forms within a memory will do to you, but I'm eager to find out. Now, shall we begin?
| 30 | Defeat the Klauth, Ancient Terror | Kick this red dragon's butt! ...What, you need something more motivational? DON'T GET DEVOURED! | ||||
![]() Klauth: |
[Panting] Impressive, Champions. I underestimated you. Very well, take my memory scale. But, if you are ever in the Sword Coast, come find me. I would very much like to face you at my full power.
Wren: |
Terrifying. But thank you!
![]() Klauth: |
Now, begone. I must continue to relive devouring red wizards and hunting for the Ring of Winter.
Freely: |
All right, well, have fun? I don't know what to say here. Bye!
Eonstaryx: |
WOW! You all were incredible! Klauth is one of the most terrifying creatures that has ever existed! And you all bravely faced him!
Freely: |
...To be fair, we didn't realize he was THAT terrifying...
Havilar: |
Eh, I think he could have been better.
| 31 | Defeat 25 Enemies | A new hallway, but the same old undead! Get fightin'! | ||||
| 32 | Defeat 25 Enemies | Zombie spiders? That's a thing? I should really stop being surprised. I'll work on that - you all fight! | ||||
| 33 | Collect 25 Draconic Hourglasses | Zombies are stealing more draconic hourglasses! You gotta stop 'em! ...I'm not really sure why, but Eonstaryx says it's bad! | ||||
| 34 | Defeat 25 Enemies | Some of these skeletons don't seem to be taking the fight as seriously as the others. Shatter their bones all the same! | ||||
| 35 | Defeat the Beholder Zombie | WHOA! That beholder zombie has some serious magic on it! Don't get disintegrated! | ||||
Eonstaryx: |
Well done, Champions! I hope you all are ready for Wildspace - because the next one is a lunar dragon named Igu! Hold tight!
![]() Igu: |
What's this? Visitors?
Calliope: |
Hello! We're here to ask for a memory scale so we can help Chronepsis.
![]() Igu: |
I'm not sure I fully understand... But it feels like I do. Can you do something for me first?
Nayeli: |
Of course, that's only fair.
![]() Igu: |
Change this memory. In my time, I was too late to save my wyrmlings from a cruel solar dragon. Do what I could not. Get to the asteroid as fast as you can and defeat him!
| 36 | Defeat 25 Enemies | Are those... LIVING METEORS?! I hate it - turn 'em into rubble! | ||||
| 37 | Defeat 25 Enemies | More eye mongers and... what are those? Space guppies? Guppies in space? Whatever, they're not friendly, so deal with 'em! | ||||
| 38 | Collect 25 Space Eel Filets | Space eels? ...Think I could try some space eel filets? I mean, that sounds like it would be good, right? Right?? | ||||
| 39 | Defeat 25 Enemies | More Wildspace wildlife - and solar dragon wyrmlings! We must be close! | ||||
| 40 | Defeat the Solar Dragon | There! The solar dragon! Don't let it get to Igu's wyrmlings! | ||||
![]() Igu: |
[Sighs with relief] Thank you, Champions. I have not felt this peace in a very long time.
Nayeli: |
Are your wyrmlings safe?
![]() Igu: |
In another timeline, yes. You have diverted this memory to that flow of time, and for that I thank you. Here - a memory scale to help you with Chronepsis.
Nayeli: |
Thank you, Igu. We hope you are able to enjoy this memory now.
Eonstaryx: |
All right, Chronepsis should be - AH! There he is!
Chronepsis: |
Leave... NOW! I will not let you corrupt the memories of time!
Eonstaryx: |
That's not why we're here! We just want to help you!
Chronepsis: |
LIES! This is all your doing, isn't it, Eonstaryx! I can see you in all forms - each one seeping with lies!
Eonstaryx: |
Chronepsis, please - | |||||
Chronepsis: |
NO! I will end you and your villainous companions with the full might of the draconic memories!
| 41 | Defeat 25 Enemies | Uh, I guess these wyrmlings are memories? They seem pretty real to me! Get fightin'! | ||||
Eonstaryx: |
Chronepsis, what happened to you? Why are you in this form?
Chronepsis: |
To protect time from those who mean to manipulate it. I can trust no one! No one but myself and my advisor!
Eonstaryx: |
Advisor? You don't have an advisor! Not in this timeline, anyway.
Chronepsis: |
Do not think you can manipulate my mind. I see ALL timelines, child. And I will protect them at all costs.
| 42 | Defeat 25 Enemies | These dragon memories are getting vicious! Give 'em the fight they want! | ||||
| 43 | Collect 25 Dragon Memories | Those wyrmlings are turning into dragon scales! Maybe with more, we can help Chronepsis! | ||||
Eonstaryx: |
Chronepsis, look at the memory scales we've brought you. Why would we offer them if we planned to use them for time manipulation?
Chronepsis: |
It is a ploy. Those do not belong to real dragons. You just want me to view them so they can twist my mind and hide the truth from me!
Eonstaryx: |
Chronepsis... Who has done this to you, my old friend...
Chronepsis: |
No one. I know exactly what I am doing - protecting all of time from the likes of you!
| 44 | Defeat 25 Enemies | Chronepsis is reversing time and bringing back the wyrmlings you've already fought! Don't give up! | ||||
Eonstaryx: |
I hate to say this, Champions. But I think we need to use the power of the memory scales to bring him back to an earlier version of himself.
Nayeli: |
How can we do that? | |||||
Eonstaryx: |
I need you all to weaken him. Once he's vulnerable, I'll use the scales and reverse his timeline.
Wren: |
Will that work on the dragon god of time?
Eonstaryx: |
I don't know. And that scares me.
| 45 | Defeat the Chronepsis, Angered God | You heard the tiny time dragon - weaken that angry god! | ||||
Chronepsis: |
AHHHH!!! | |||||
Chronepsis Restored: |
What... [Groans with pain] What happened?
Eonstaryx: |
I reversed your timeline and brought you back to an earlier state. I figured it would help your mind, but you would still maintain the memories.
Chronepsis Restored: |
Very clever, Eonstaryx, very clever indeed.
Acererak: |
Too clever, in fact. | |||||
Havilar: |
Hey! Who are you, lich boy?
Acererak: |
The architect of your doom, my fine-scaled friend.
Chronepsis Restored: |
He... he is the one that corrupted my mind... he... I cannot fight him in this state...
Acererak: |
Then I shouldn't waste my chance. Hordes - tear the flesh from their bones!
| 46 | Defeat 25 Enemies | He's summoning skeletons! Rattle their bones! | ||||
Acererak: |
It would be nice if I could have one evil plan that didn't have a bunch of nitwit adventurers showing up to ruin it.
Wren: |
Why are you even doing this? What does a lich want with time? You'll exist through all of it.
Acererak: |
Because not everything has gone according to plan. I was on the brink of capturing the entire multiverse with my Agents of Annihilation. And then some adventurers like yourselves showed up, killed all of the agents, and then that fiend sicked the Lady of Pain on me.
Acererak: |
I reformed here in the Outlands, where I hid one of my soul vessels. For a year I waited, biding my time for my power to return and start back over. But then I found Chronepsis. I spent another three years with him, manipulating him from the shadows - all so that I could go back and stop the Agents of Annihilation from being destroyed.
Acererak: |
But now, none of that matters. My plans have been ruined again, and I will take out my anger on your corpses for eternity!
| 47 | Defeat 25 Enemies | Woof, this guy is a TALKER. Fight some undead to wake yourselves back up! | ||||
| 48 | Collect 25 Lost Souls | Those undead are leaking lost souls! I bet we could weaken his power if we took those! | ||||
Havilar: |
So, you spent four years trying to reverse time? Did you ever think about, I don't know, moving on? Making another new evil plan?
Acererak: |
Do you have ANY idea how difficult evil plans are to come up with? And I REALLY liked this one!
| 49 | Defeat 25 Enemies | That's A LOT of undead! Don't get turned into walking deaders - FIGHT! | ||||
Acererak: |
Fine. If my hordes won't do the job - I'll do it myself.
Wren: |
Or you could just give up?
Acererak: |
NEVER! I will not cower to the likes of you. I am Acererak, Lord of Unlife! I will kill everything in the multiverse and raise it to my will!
| 50 | Defeat the Acererak | Well, we gotta have goals, right? Put this lich back in the ground! | ||||
Chronepsis Restored: |
You did it. [Panting] He's gone, for now. Thank you, Champions. I owe you a great deal.
Eonstaryx: |
Hey, Champions. I think I'm going to stay here, make sure Chronepsis recovers, and help fix what I can.
Havilar: |
[Hugs] That makes total sense, but I'm for sure going to miss you.
Eonstaryx: |
I'm gonna miss you all as well. But hey, at least we know it's not the last time we see each other! And who knows, maybe there will be even more adventures between now and then!
Freely: |
...You already know there are more adventures.
Eonstaryx: |
I already know there are more adventures, yes. And I can't wait to experience them with you!
