 Catti-brie:
[Deep breath] A fine day in Ten-Towns. The cold, crisp air of Icewind Dale. The gentle melancholy of quiet life in Caer-Konig. The -
 Bruenor:
RABBITS! Look sharp, lass! Tha stew's already on tha tip of me tongue!
 Catti-brie:
[Sigh] Yes. The rabbits.

Defeat 25 Enemies
Why all the fuss, anyway? It's only rabbits, after all.
 Catti-brie:
Would ye calm down? Don't get so worked up now. We see rabbits all the time.
 Drizzt:
Hares, I believe. Rabbits are smaller.
 Wulfgar:
It's hardly a concern. They all cook the same.
 Ten-Towns Child:
You wouldn't dare! I'll fight you!
 Regis:
Oh? Who's this sassy, lost child?
 Ten-Towns Child:
My name's no matter! You'll not be harming a hair of them hares!
 Catti-brie:
And why is that, little one?
 Ten-Towns Child:
'Cause of one of them's my lost little friend, that's why! You're heroes, right? Fetch her for me, then!
 Regis:
Presumptuous little scamp, this one.
 Drizzt:
Is he wrong, friend? We should help. It's what we do.

Defeat 25 Enemies
I suppose we're sorting domesticated hares from the wild ones now?
 Ten-Towns Child:
No, not this one neither. Feet too long. Ears too short. Fur too white. Keep looking, will you?
 Wulfgar:
It seems it is difficult to appease this child.
 Bruenor:
I dunno. Not sure why, but I'm findin' meself takin' a likin' ta tha lad!
 Catti-brie:
It would help if we knew what to look for. Do ye mind telling us about yer pet?
 Ten-Towns Child:
Not very cuddly! Stinks to the heavens, she does! She eats TOO much fish!
 Drizzt:
Hm. That's not terribly helpful.
 Ten-Towns Child:
Oh! She likes to hide under tha floorboards!
 Drizzt:
Perhaps we can work with that. I spy loose lumber lying about.
| 3
Collect 25 Wooden Boards
Look under the wooden boards for any sign of a lost pet!
 Drizzt:
That's quite a few boards strewn around. I wonder what for...
 Ten-Towns Child:
Not here! Look elsewhere! Come on, she can't have gone far!
| 4
Defeat 25 Enemies
We've been all over town and there's still no sign of our target. Keep looking!
 Ten-Towns Child:
There she is! There, there, in the back of those others!
 Regis:
That larger one? I don't like the look in its eyes.
 Bruenor:
Take heart, Rumblebelly! Else the beast takes yers, ha!
| 5
Defeat the Runaway Rabbit
There's the runaway! Catch it before it runs off again!
 Ten-Towns Child:
[Gasp] Bloodfang! I knew you'd come home! And I found you all by myself! Come on, now! Mum's got a stew on the stove for us!
 Regis:
And there he goes. What a curious lad. Not quite grateful, mind you, but all's well that ends well, yes?
 Wulfgar:
Another tale for bards to tell of the Companions of the Hall, no doubt.
 Drizzt:
You jest, friend, but is this not the idyllic peace we all strive toward? We fight grand battles against grander foes so that little ones like him need only worry about little things.
 Bruenor:
Well said, elf! Champions of the idle, we are! Ha!
 Catti-brie:
[Amused] That's enough o' that, now. Let's get back to enjoying our own bit o' peace and quiet, eh? We've more than earned it.
 Catti-brie:
What in blazes!?
 Wulfgar:
That was a dragon. I'm certain. Another grand battle for us then, it seems.
 Drizzt:
Never a dull moment. To arms! We will defend the good people of Caer-Konig with our lives!
| 6
Defeat 25 Enemies
Ready yerselves! The panic attracted predators!
| 7
Defeat 25 Enemies
The beasts o' the dale see this as an opportunity for an easy meal!
 Bruenor:
Oi! Did anyone get a good look at tha thing!? What sort o' wyrm are we dealin' with this time?
 Regis:
A strange one. It's not a type I'm familiar with, I'm afraid.
 Drizzt:
Worry about it later! We need to put out these flames before they spread!
| 8
Collect 25 Flaming Debris
Stamp out that flaming debris while we still can!
 Bruenor:
There's too many o' them! Lucky fer us, I know just the dwarf fer the job. PWENT! Where be ye!?
 Pwent:
Here, me king! Ready as ever!
 Bruenor:
Rally the fightin' folks of tha town and do what ye do best!
 Pwent:
As ye command!
| 9
Defeat 25 Enemies
We still have more beasts to deal with! Stay sharp, everyone!
 Solar Dragon:
[Enraged] NOT HERE! NOT ANYWHERE!
 Wulfgar:
The dragon speaks!
 Catti-brie:
What's not here!? What do ye seek!?
 Drizzt:
It's blinded by anger! Weapons ready, friends!
| 10
Defeat the Strange Dragon
Whatever this dragon's cause, the danger's still the same! Drive it away from the town!
 Bruenor:
Oi, it's flyin' away! That's right, flee, ye coward! PWENT! How're tha people?
 Pwent:
Safe and sound, me king! This little lad here may make a fine Gutbuster someday! Bwahaha!
 Ten-Towns Child:
Me and Bloodfang gave them what for, we did! Just the same as last time!
 Wulfgar:
Last time? This strange dragon has attacked before?
 Ten-Towns Child:
Just so! That's the third time in two tendays! Mum says it's a right pain to keep repairing the roof!
 Catti-brie:
Then that settles it. We're going to find where this dragon lairs and put a stop to its attacks.
 Regis:
Hmm. It may prove difficult to chase after a dragon in flight, especially one we know nothing about. But if anyone can do it, I trust it would be you two.
 Drizzt:
Your faith is well-placed, friend. We can track anything, if we work together.
 Catti-brie:
Aye, that's the truth of it. The wyrm may run, but it can't hide.
| 11
Defeat 25 Enemies
Watch your step in this wood. There's twig blights about.
 Wulfgar:
Was it wise to leave the battlerager back in town, Bruenor?
 Bruenor:
O' course! If tha dragon circles back while we're away, Pwent'll keep it busy!
| 12
Defeat 25 Enemies
More o' those blights. Best we thin their numbers before they get too near the town.
 Regis:
Juniper! Lucky day! Might we take a moment? I could make all sorts of wonderful things from these. Tonics, oils, seasoning... and the berries are delicious!
 Bruenor:
That's our Rumblebelly! Might as well let 'em have his fun. There'll be no talkin' 'em down, now.
| 13
Collect 25 Juniper Berries
Nature's bounty! Mielikki provides for us. Let's gather up the berries.
 Drizzt:
Winter wolves prowl this wood. Stay alert, my friends. They are no simple beasts.
| 14
Defeat 25 Enemies
These monsters are evil, make no mistake. Put them down!
| 15
Defeat the Winter Wolves
There's the leader of the pack! Give it no quarter!
 Wulfgar:
The pack is no more. How does our hunt progress?
 Drizzt:
The foliage is thick here. We should find an area with more visibility. Follow me.
 Catti-brie:
That's better. I see a lonely mountain in the distance. The dragon must have flown there to lick its wounds.
 Bruenor:
Then that's the way we go, lass! Onward!
 Drizzt:
Not so fast, my friend. We are not alone.
 Wulfgar:
The dead walk! Let us crush them!
| 16
Defeat 25 Enemies

Many souls are claimed by the cold. Some return, vengeful. Be on yer guard.

Defeat 25 Enemies

These restless dead are a threat to all life. Destroy them!
| 18
Defeat 1 Mounds of Snow
Mephits are mischievous. Clear the way forward!
 Regis:
From bad to worse. Those are flesh-eating ghouls!
 Bruenor:
They won't make a meal o' us! Attack!
| 19
Defeat 25 Enemies
Ghouls! They'll eat us alive if we don't fight back!
 Regis:
Is that a person back there, in the furs? Hello?
 Catti-brie:
Not anymore, Regis. That's a coldlight walker, cursed by Auril to rage against all life.
 Regis:
Oh. Well, then. My mistake.
| 20
Defeat the Coldlight Walker
A coldlight walker! Don't look directly at it or it might blind ye!
 Drizzt:
The mountain path is just ahead. Keep an eye out for any sign of the dragon.
 Bruenor:
That's a war party o' frost giants!
 Wulfgar:
Tempus tests our strength! We must overcome this trial!
| 21
Defeat 25 Enemies
Frost giants are charging us! Stand firm!
| 22
Defeat 25 Enemies
Show these giants we don't back down from a fight!
 Drizzt:
They never stood a chance. Fools.
 Bruenor:
Aye. Snow fer brains, them. Let's keep movin'.
 Wulfgar:
This cavern is large enough for a dragon. And look there - trinkets. Part of its hoard, perhaps.
 Regis:
That's scrimshaw! Fine quality, at that. Not a typical treasure for a dragon, I think. Oh, but the kobolds guarding it are fairly standard.
| 23
Collect 25 Scrimshaw Carvings
Gather up the scrimshaw carvings while we inspect this cave.
 Regis:
There's no doubt. These were made in Ten-Towns.
 Solar Dragon:
[Sobbing] MINE! Thieves! Hands off!
 Catti-brie:
Is it... crying?
 Drizzt:
[Cautious] I was not expecting this.
 Drizzt:
Hear me, dragon. I am Drizzt Do'Urden. You've caused trouble for the good people of Caer-Konig, but taken no lives.
 Catti-brie:
We come in peace, lest ye give us cause to resort to violence.
 Bruenor:
Call off yer kobolds an' let's have a talk!
 Solar Dragon:
[Sobbing] They are not MINE to command! They just showed up one day and won't leave me alone!
 Wulfgar:
Then we shall convince them to depart!
| 24
Defeat 25 Enemies
Drive away these kobolds before they cause any more problems!
 Regis:
Troll in the cavern!
 Catti-brie:
Calm yourself, Regis! We'll make short work of it.
| 25
Defeat the Ice Troll
Let's cut down this troll so we can chat with the dragon.
 Catti-brie:
Now speak, dragon. Why do ye attack Caer Konig? What do ye seek?
 Solar Dragon:
[Sobbing] My EGG! My precious EGG! It was STOLEN from me while I slept!
 Bruenor:
Yer a parent!
 Regis:
That's apparent!
 Solar Dragon:
[Sobbing] This was supposed to be a simple vacation! I grew tired of the Xaryxians and their politics! I just wanted some time away to hatch my egg in peace! Now it's GONE!
 Bruenor:
I cannae say I completely understand, but as a father meself, ye have me sympathy.
 Catti-brie:
If we were to find yer egg and return it to ye, would ye leave the town be?
 Solar Dragon:
[Hopeful] Yes! Gladly! I'd do anything! Please!
 Wulfgar:
So much for dragon slaying. Now we fetch an egg?
 Drizzt:
That's the way of it. This is our path to a peaceful solution. We must choose kindness, when we can.
 Catti-brie:
Well said. Let's make our way back down this mountain for now.
| 26
Defeat 25 Enemies
Wild owlbears are dangerous. Let's show them we're not prey!
| 27
Defeat 25 Enemies
Keep those owlbears back!
 Catti-brie:
Hold. There, in the snow.
 Regis:
Footprints! Not ours, surely. There's too many.
 Catti-brie:
Aye. Others have trod this path. Egg thieves, perhaps.
| 28
Collect 25 Snowy Footprints
Search for footprints in the snow so we can track the thieves!
 Catti-brie:
This way!
| 29
Defeat 25 Enemies
Remorhazes are territorial hunters. Don't let them swarm you!
| 30
Defeat the Bulette
Finish off these monsters and let's keep moving!
 Regis:
[Sigh] We've been walking all day. The sun's already set! Shouldn't we stop for the night? Rest is important, you know.
 Catti-brie:
I'm sorry, but we cannot risk losing the trail. In her distress, the dragon may prove impatient and attack the town again.
 Regis:
You're right, you're right. Let us soldier on. There will be time for sleep when this is done.
| 31
Defeat 25 Enemies
More mephits! Swat them away!
| 32
Defeat 25 Enemies
These creatures don't know when to quit. Finish them!
 Drizzt:
We've arrived. The tracks have brought us directly to this camp.
 Fur Clad Ranger:
If you came here looking for trouble, you found it. Up and at 'em, everyone! We've got company!
 Catti-brie:
Yer making a mistake, as ye'll soon see.
| 33
Collect 25 Bandit Blades
Disarm these bandits! Show them they're outmatched!
| 34
Defeat 25 Enemies
Archers? Amateurs.
 Catti-brie:
Are ye finished? We'll spare ye justice, if ye hand over the dragon's egg.
 Fur Clad Ranger:
You know about the egg? Well, tough luck! We don't have it!
 Bruenor:
Beggin' yer pardon?
 Fur Clad Ranger:
Attack!
| 35
Defeat the Bandit Leader
We'll have some answers soon. Take down their leader!
 Catti-brie:
Now, why did ye steal the egg? Where is it now? Speak, and ye'll live.
 Fur Clad Ranger:
[Exhausted] Wizard hired us. Wanted it for a spell component. Paid a high price. So we waited for the dragon to fall asleep. It was easy. Then someone else stole it from us. Dunno who. Dunno why. But... I think I know where they went...
| 36
Defeat 25 Enemies
These are some of the worst horrors of the north. Be careful!
| 37
Defeat 25 Enemies
Destroy these abominations!
 Regis:
I can't... go on... anymore...
 Catti-brie:
[Struggling] Just a little further. We can make it.
 Bruenor:
He's right, lass. That's enough marchin' for one day. We'd best be at our best for whatever comes next. It's not a weakness to respect yer limits.
 Catti-brie:
[Reluctant] Let's camp, then, and hope our respite is worth the risks.
 Regis:
[Yawning] Ahh, much better! Alright, I'm ready to - OW! I stepped on something! What the - there's caltrops everywhere!
 Drizzt:
Those weren't there last night. Everyone, stay vigilant.
| 38
Collect 25 Caltrops
Caltrops! Someone's laid a trap. Clear the path!
| 39
Defeat 25 Enemies
The caltrops head in this direction! Are they leading us somewhere?
 Wulfgar:
A ship, in the ice? There's no telling how long it's been here, or what may await us within.
 Bruenor:
We'll just have ta find out tha hard way, me boy! C'mon, now!
| 40
Defeat the Ice Mephits
Let's deal with these last few mephits and board that ship!
 Artemis:
You've come. It must be fate - the only knife whose edge is crueler than mine.
 Drizzt:
Artemis Entreri... So it was you who attacked the bandits.
 Artemis:
Is it theft to steal from thieves? Or poetic justice? Hmph. Ponder this, as you meet my 'crew.'
 Bruenor:
Goblins are pourin' out o' tha woodwork!
| 41
Defeat 25 Enemies
Curse that assassin! Let's sort out these shiphands and chase after him!
 Catti-brie:
What's your angle, Artemis? You must have a reason.
 Artemis:
Profit, simple and sweet. I saw an opportunity and I took it. That much obsidian is sure to fetch a fine price.
 Regis:
Obsidian? That's a dragon's egg, you fool!
 Artemis:
Is it now? All the better. That only improves the value, I think.
| 42
Defeat 25 Enemies
He's using the goblins to slow us down! After him!
 Artemis:
Much like this ship, I've been stuck for too long. I need funds if I'm to change my course. But here you are, to take that away from me.
 Wulfgar:
To save the good people of Caer Konig! Something you would never understand!
| 43
Collect 25 Frozen Contracts
Take away those goblins' contracts and they'll have no reason to follow orders!
 Artemis:
Then what do you propose? We both want something. I'm not unwilling to make a deal.
 Drizzt:
I know better than to trust your words.
 Artemis:
[Smirk] So be it. Kill them.
| 44
Defeat 25 Enemies
Duergar! They fight more fiercely than any goblin!
 Artemis:
Still alive? Good. I'd be disappointed if you made it easy. Now, meet my 'first mate.'
| 45
Defeat the Gelugon
A gelugon!? How did Entreri manage to press this fiend into his service!?
 Artemis:
Useless creatures. Guess I'll have to get my hands dirty, after all.
 Catti-brie:
WAIT!
 Artemis:
[Raises eyebrow]
 Catti-brie:
Think. Would you rather have coin... or be owed a favor by a dragon?
 Drizzt:
What are you doing!?
 Artemis:
Quiet. I'm talking to her, not you. Continue.
 Catti-brie:
We'll tell the dragon ye were the one who rescued her egg from its captors, but that ye couldn't find her lair to deliver it. Ye'll share the glory with us. It's fair, and not even a lie.
 Artemis:
Hero for a day, eh? I can see the value in that. You've got yourself a deal.
 Artemis:
Just one more thing. I already made arrangements with a buyer. They won't appreciate me reneging on the deal.
 Bruenor:
Oi, that wouldn't happen ta have anythin' to do with the flight of wyrmlings on approach, now would it?
 Artemis:
[Disdainful] What do you think?
 Drizzt:
We're going to have to fight our way through this! You too, Artemis! Pull your weight!
 Artemis:
Hmph. Just try to keep up, Drizzt.
 Catti-brie:
Both of ye, focus! [Muttering] Men and their egos...
| 46
Defeat 25 Enemies
White wyrmlings are storming the ship! Fight back!
| 47
Defeat 25 Enemies
These wyrmlings are endless, but so are my arrows!
| 48
Collect 25 Dragon Scales
Cleave away a scale or two from each one! Show them we're not to be trifled with!
| 49
Defeat 25 Enemies
I see something! In the thick of the wyrmlings! Coming closer!
 Artemis:
Ah. There she is. The buyer.
 White Dragon:
WHERE IS IT, HUMAN!? WHERE IS MY PRIZE!?
 Artemis:
You mean the dragon egg you let me think was simple obsidian?
 Catti-brie:
We offered a better deal, wyrm. Shove off.
 White Dragon:
YOU DARE!?
 Bruenor:
Oi! What's tha' shadow overhead? Could it be...
 Solar Dragon:
[Impassioned] MY EGG! You FOUND my EGG! This chromatic wretch must be behind all of this! I shall fight with you!
 Artemis:
A solar dragon? Well now. That's a rare sight, and explains much. You all are never boring, I'll grant you that.
 White Dragon:
I will CLAIM my PRIZE from your FROZEN CORPSES!
 Wulfgar:
Us against a white wyrm? Just like old times, my friend!
 Drizzt:
Indeed! Now, altogether! For honor!
 Wulfgar:
For glory!
 Bruenor:
Fer family!
 Regis:
For Caer Konig!
 Artemis:
For me.
 Catti-brie:
For the ties that bind us all!
| 50
Defeat the White Dragon
This ends with your last breath, wyrm! Everyone, charge!
 Wulfgar:
Now, THAT'S one for the bards to sing about!
 Solar Dragon:
[Relieved] My egg! My precious egg. Oh, I am overjoyed! How can I ever thank you for this?
 Artemis:
I'll be in touch.
 Catti-brie:
All we desire is for peace to return to Caer Konig. Can ye promise that?
 Solar Dragon:
That and more! I'll take the region under my wing. I shall be its guardian, as restitution for the havoc I've caused, until my hatchling is ready to take to the sky beyond the sky.
 Catti-brie:
That is noble of ye. I wish you and yer child every happiness in the days ahead.
 Solar Dragon:
And I wish the same for you, should that joyful blessing someday come to pass.
 Catti-brie:
Thank you. Someday, perhaps. Someday.
