And if the enclave's magic is still strong enough that the dragonets are being drawn to it from across Reghed Glacier, our taking up this quest is most provident. | |||||

Sparse legends from the time of Netheril speak of the enclave's masters seeking magic in the frozen north some two thousand years ago. They flew across all these lands, but their Mythallar's magic failed. When the city crashed, it hit with such force that it buried itself in the ice. | |||||

Avarice must have been in secret service to Auril all the time the Arcane Brotherhood were researching the location of Ythryn. If the Frostmaiden's power protected her in death, she'll no doubt still be holding some of that power for herself even after Auril's fall. | |||||

Which means we're not the only ones seeking Ythryn. And Avarice might well have been waiting for us to open the way to the enclave for her... | |||||

There won't be anything to do about that until she makes her move. But it certainly makes our mission more urgent. We need to discover what magic is down here -- and eliminate its threat before Avarice or anyone else can make use of it. | |||||
