The Events in Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms.
Description[]
The game is updated regularly with limited-time events. Completing events unlocks new Champions and Gear to add to the player’s collection. Each event is based on a holiday in the Faerûn calendar, starting with Highharvestide and ending with Brightswords (or with Ahghairon's Day since the introduction of Event 2.0). Every event comes with an adventure that sometimes ties into other event adventures later in the year, usually with recurring characters such as the Resurrected Hero of the Vale, the Overambitious City Guard, and Chotyn the bronze dragon.
There used to be 17 different events prior to the introduction of Event 2.0, and afterwards the number of events was reduced to 12. That implied 17 new Champions introduced each year in the former system to around 12 new Champions a year in the new system (with one Event each month). In the old system, players had access to a new adventure (and its three variants) and also to the two previous years’ adventures for a duration of two weeks; in the new system, during the three weeks of the event, players have access to at least three free champions slots, which can be extended to up to five champions slots for a few Time Gate pieces (with a sixth that can be unlocked for real money purchase / thanks to purchasing any DLC with a Event Boon in it). For each new event, two slots a preset by the devs: up to two Champions may be new ones and/or up to two Champions may be old reworked Champions. The other slots (called flex slots) are old Champions picked by the player from a preset list of previous years’ events.
