Indeed - and quite well I might add. I travel the Outlands in it. | |||||

Well, that's handy, because we're looking to travel the Outlands ourselves. Though we're not exactly sure where we're going... | |||||

As we were making our way up here, one of the fiends told us they were looking for a modron. You haven't happened to see one recently, have you? | |||||

We're trying to help him. He's lost and we're trying to bring him back to Sigil. | |||||

Well, that does sound like your intentions are good. More than I can say for those fiends. Yes, I recently met with a modron - a monodrone named R04M. | |||||

Really? R04M was here? Where is he now? | |||||
Zaythir: |
R04M was traveling around the Outlands - going to each of the gate-towns. He was collecting information about the Great Modron March with this mosaic mimir - which unfortunately was damaged when the fiends attacked. He left not too long ago saying the mimir had told him where to go. | |||||
Orkira: |
Can the mimir be repaired? | |||||
Zaythir: |

The easiest answer is that it's a magical skull that knows a lot of things. | |||||

Nah, Chief. I'm more of a special case. Special in the 'tragic-don't-want-to-talk-about-it' sort of way. Mimirs only speak when they're activated and only answer direct questions. Most people just use them as information guides. But some use them to collect and store esoteric knowledge. | |||||

Leave it to us. They couldn't have taken them far - we'll search the area and bring them back. In the meantime, can you work on getting that mimir up and running again? | |||||

Yes, yes, I think I can do that. Thank you, Champions. It seems I am relying on you twice today. I'll be happy to take you around the Outlands when this is all over. | |||||

As long as everything with that mimir goes right, we won't need to. Come on, Champions. We've got some crystals to find. | |||||

One last thing! This castle is connected to all of the Outlands. Sometimes portals open up from other areas. Right now, it seems to be connected to the Labyrinth of Life so you might see a few lizard-y creatures about... | |||||
Wren: |
There you all are - what did I miss? | |||||
Nayeli: |
Zaythir has a lead on R04M, but we need to get pieces of the crystal that powers the castle back. Oh, and the castle might be infested with lizards soon. | |||||
Wren: |
That would explain all of the dinosaurs. Oh look - more dinosaurs! | |||||

Oh, you know - chant was she would make deals with folks to get possession of their soul so she could place it in another multiverse thereby connecting the two. Stuff like that. | |||||

...well that doesn't sound great. | |||||

You know, it is kinda funny that you're worried about Mrs. Fox, but also working with Shemeshka - an arcanaloth that owns a casino. From my point of view - which can be pretty high since I float - you all should be more concerned about yourselves and not who you're working with. | |||||

I mean - work with whomever you gotta work with to get your memories back and then go from there. | |||||

But what if the people we are working with are evil? | |||||

What if the bodies you're inhabiting are evil? It doesn't matter until you get your memories back. | |||||

Yeah - Mrs. Fox said you all have the souls of people she knows. Who knows who these bodies belong to. | |||||

I doubt these were just 'made' out of thin air. They had to come from somewhere - or at least be based on something. These bodies look like they've had their own adventures. | |||||

Well... if Morte is right - then these bodies lived their full lives. We're not overwriting anyone. It's a sort of rebirth, which oddly makes me feel good about the idea. | |||||

Huh... I think I actually get what you mean and... I do feel a little better about it. | |||||
